Overview

About the project.

DopaMart is a fictional ecommerce experience built for playful browsing. Visitors can explore thousands of listings across a broad department structure, search the catalogue, save products, build a cart, change display currency, and complete a clearly labelled pretend checkout without creating an account.

We designed and developed the product as a full-stack Node.js application with crawlable server-rendered pages, responsive storefront navigation, product and department routes, local cart and order history, currency localisation, an anonymous shared order counter, and explicit safety boundaries around fictional prices, reviews, delivery states, and transactions. No real payment or address data is requested or processed.

Highlights

What we focused on.

A complete browsing loop

Department discovery, search, product details, saved items, cart, and order history create a coherent experience rather than a static storefront mockup.

Clearly simulated checkout

Every purchase state is labelled as fictional, with no real charges, deliveries, accounts, or payment credentials involved.

Large catalogue system

Structured product data supports thousands of listings across departments while keeping cards, details, variants, and related items consistent.

Localised currency

Visitors receive a sensible display-currency starting point and can change it manually without turning illustrative prices into real offers.

Search-ready architecture

Server-rendered department, product, and guide pages include canonical URLs, descriptive metadata, structured data, sitemap coverage, and honest indexing signals.

Privacy-conscious state

Cart, favourites, and personal order history stay in the browser while the shared counter stores only an anonymous order identifier and session hash.
