Overview

About the project.

LifeTrak is an expense-tracking application for life goals, holidays, and business travel. It organises spending around a goal rather than a generic ledger, helping people see budgets, receipts, contributors, and recent activity in one context.

We rebuilt the product as an installable progressive web application with a responsive landing experience, offline operation after the first sign-in, queued changes, role-based shared goals, receipt handling, contributor views, CSV export, and a server-backed data model. The portfolio screens use illustrative demo data and do not expose private customer records.

Highlights

What we focused on.

Goal-based money context

Budgets and expenses are grouped around holidays, life goals, or business trips so every number has a clear purpose.

Offline-first operation

The app shell and authorised data remain available after the first sign-in, with pending changes queued for reconnection.

Shared spending

Owner, editor, and viewer roles support shared goals while contributor views show who recorded each expense.

Receipts and exports

Receipt attachment and CSV export make the same product useful for personal travel and claimable business costs.

Mobile PWA interface

Large touch targets, bottom navigation, concise summaries, and installability make the core workflow phone-first.

Migration-aware rebuild

The new data model and import workflow preserve legacy records while surfacing incomplete historical information for review.
